Anne de Paris
CONCEPT

PARIS,

the Capitale…OF LUXURY

It was under the instigation of King Louis XIV, and his close minister Colbert, who was well-acquainted with the very best French craftsmen, that the French luxury industry blossomed in the 17th century. It was at this time that the first royal factories were built, in which magnificent tapestries were woven (Gobelins), followed slightly later by fine porcelain (Sèvres). Then, in the 18th century, the grand jewellery house of Mellerio dits Meller, was commissioned by Queen Marie-Antoinette to supply jewels to the court.
Moving into the 19th century, craftsmen such as Louis Vuitton, Thierry Hermès, Frédéric Boucheron, Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain, or Louis-François Cartier established their creative houses in Paris.
Step forward again to the 20th century where designers such as Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, Torello Berluti and Frédéric Boucheron permanently secured Paris as the world capital of luxury...

… AND OF A GENOUINE KNOW-HOW

French luxury products are truly top-of-the-range. They bear the hallmarks of a certain quality of life unique to France, a real sense of elegance and refinement. They are also the fruit of  specific know-how that has been acquired and then handed down through the centuries, by French Masters of Art*, craftsmen and craftswomen who seek to perpetuate their skills and talents and the simple workers who tan pieces of leather, sew shoes, embroider dresses or cut diamonds, who put their heart and soul into today's luxury products.
Paris stimulates the senses: sight, touch, smell, but also taste. Paris, as a reflection of the whole of France, is a temple of Gastronomy. Our greatest chefs, pastry-makers and chocolate confectioners strive ceaselessly to put their imagination and know-how to work in designing and producing creations, paying particular attention to the quality of the ingredients used.
What Anne de Paris values most is classical luxury, as opposed to ostentatious luxury. This is what we would like to share with you - luxury which finds its roots in craftsmanship, technical prowess, know-how and a constant quest for creation and innovation.
